Glacier and Mountaineer Lodge - a great value base for visiting several National Parks. Positive: We chose Kicking Horse resort in order to avoid the crowds and expense of staying nearer to Banff and Lake Louise. Excellent choice. This is a ski resort in winter but open for summer visitors like us. Located about 15 minutes from Golden its in a beautiful location part way up Kicking Horse mountain with fantastic views. It was very quiet and excellent value for money. The apartment itself was spacious and very well equipped. Nice balcony with great views. The elevators were working despite negative comments in some other reviews, which was a relief given we were on 3rd floor. Easy access to Yoho National Park and Banff, all between 45 mins. to an hours drive away. Also the gondola and chair lifts at the resort were operational giving access to top of mountain and hiking trails. Negative: No air conditioning in our apartment. To be fair this was highlighted in advance and was not a major issue as 2 fans provided and the altitude meant a bit cooler, but it was a bit uncomfortable in the bedroom at times. A very minor point - in our case no second television in the bedroom, although this is shown in the apartment pictures. That said, good wifi.

Positive: I like the best is everything was digital access. No worries to misplace your door FOB.

Positive: Quiet Negative: Elevator out of order. No A/C. Cleaning staff wasn’t finished cleaning when I arrived

Positive: Nothing... I was billed for nothing. Never saw the room. When I paid with my visa the bill went from $95 to over $250. I tried to cancel with the property management company that told me that I had to cancel with booking.com, that told me that I have to cancel with the property management.... never even saw the room. What a Scam that the public should know about Negative: The above
