Luxe 3BR Golden Hideaway | BBQ, AC & Top Floor!

Had ups and downs Positive: We enjoyed having the master bedroom attached to its own bathroom and not having to share a washroom with the kids. We liked having access to a kitchen and livingroom and having underground parking as well even if it wasn't convenient to get into. Negative: The balcony was overcrowded and wet with dew. We could not use the barbecue safely without tripping over all the furniture and the area rug outside. We ended up not using it which is a shame when I would have enjoyed having coffee outside each morning. We also had a power outage during our stay and there were no battery lights anywhere to safely move through the extremely dark stairwelll or the hallways that got darker as the day went by. Relying on our phones with low batteries was not ideal for a 7am to 9pm scheduled power outage that could have been planned better for since notice was given earlier in the week. My last note is the place was not clean. Cups had coffee rings around them, freezer had a glass with yellow frozen liquid in it and the ice in there had hair and yellow to it as well. We had to wash everything before we used it because plates still had food on them and the coffee machine that was put away still had coffee in it. My guess is that they got rinsed and put back into the cupboards dirty or better cleaning products need to be used for the dishwasher. There was hair, nail clippings and dust in all the drawers; "cleaning streaks" on surfaces as well. No one likes renting a place and having to clean it before they can use it. With this being said, we were reimbursed a bit after our stay but there was lack of communication during the stay so we felt like we were not being heard or being taken seriously. We appreciate the refund which made things feel less of an issue afterwards.

Very clean, spacious, modern and comfortable. Beds are comfortable.Air conditioning only in the main area living room- not in the bedrooms.Bring a wagon to cart all your belongings from outside to the 4th floor unit, it’s a trek.

Nice small town - friendly people. Hosts were prompt at responding Positive: The size of the property and it’s location in the downtown area of Golden Negative: I found the bed’s pillows were too full for my taste. They are obviously new and so very plump. Would have liked a flatter pillow for sleeping - of course this is only my preference.

Host was superb! Sent us constant updates and were very helpful and friendly from the get go! Will definitely book again. Clean room and complete amenities, special mention to the complete set of kitchen utensils, pots and pans.
