Spacious Rockies Escape near Banff |Hot tub & Gym!

Good location for visiting Banff and enjoying Canmore. Positive: The location is good - about 5 minute walk to a sizable outdoor mall with multiple restaurants, and a 5 minute drive to the busy Downtown Canmore area. Parking is secured in an indoor garage with direct elevator access to all of the units. The large hot tub was greatly appreciated after days spent hiking. The unit itself was spacious - the bedrooms are small with limited drawer space but adequate for 2 persons/bedroom. The living room/dining area/kitchen areas are spacious. The bathrooms are large with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The washing machine/dryer and the supplied detergent/dryer sheets in the unit were very nice to have. The hosts provided excellent, timely communication and were very friendly. Negative: The facilities are a bit older so you can see some wear/tear. That being said, the facilities were clean and we didn't encounter any broken/dysfunctional equipment/facilities.

For the price of the unit we thought that it would be in better shape. Positive: Location was good and a great view of the mountains. Nearby restaurants were good and it had easy on/off access to the highway. The bed was comfortable! Negative: The carpet in the common areas is in very poor condition! The carpet in the unit could use some updating also. When we arrived, there was coffee still in the coffee pot, dishwasher was not emptied, there was dust on the faucets in the one bedroom and there were tortilla chips on the kitchen floor. The light was out in the bathroom (I exchanged it for one in the hallway) and the deck was not very clean and the cover to the barbeque grill was not on the grill. The pool -- we walked in to check it out and turned around and said we won't be using that.
