Rockies Escape, Skiing, Hiking & Private Hot Tub

Lovely Apartment in the Rockies. Positive: This was a lovely property for our July visit to the Rockies. We appreciated the hot tub, nice kitchen and washing machine and drier. We were very close to the Kicking Horse resort, meaning the gondola, ski lift to Boo the Bear and access to mountain trails and the highest restaurant in Canada were on our doorstep! The owners messaged us updates prior to the stay and checked in via message to see that all was well. We had a lovely time and also took a trip to the Columbia Wetlands for a half day kayaking. Negative: It was very hot outside and having a parasol and outdoor table would have been nice. We arrived during a regional power cut (not the owners' fault) which was a bit stressful as it is quite isolated, requiring a 15-20 min drive to get groceries. The main bed was a bit soft and the pillows all huge! While this felt luxurious, it would have been nice to have slimmer pillows to avoid neck aches (we ended up putting blankets in a pillow case). We couldn't operate the garage door (which wasn't needed) and were given a code for the hot tub, which was also not needed.

Amazing stay Positive: Beautiful place in a great location. Quiet, clean and comfortable. We loved it! Negative: Everything.

Excellent

The drive up to the place was very scenic. Took a walk outside in the morning and stared at the mountains :) There was a master bedroom with a bigger bed and a TV and another room with a bunk bed. Bottom bunk fits two people, top fits one -- nice for groups of 3-5. Has all the amenities you'd need (pots, pans, dishes, utensils, strainer, bathroom towels for everyone in the group). The hot tub was a nice bonus as well. The owners sent clear messages explaining pretty much every aspect of the place, which was nice. There's an IGA 10-15 minutes away so you can pick up some groceries, which is convenient. We saw a few deer and a small black bear at one point while driving up to the place, too (positive experience)! Would come back again :)
