Rustic Rockies Retreat Near Banff & Canmore!

Huckleberry Lodge is a great spot for a mountain getaway at a pretty good value. The accommodation was cozy, the kitchen was fully stocked and ready to cook and *most importantly* the location is ideal - set between Canmore and Banff. Keep in mind that the amenities are pretty old and thus a bit rough around the edges - if you're looking for modern or sleek then this is not the cabin for you. But if you're happy to look past a noisy bathroom fan and some finishes that're past their prime then give Huckleberry Lodge a chance. Thank Tina and Steve!

Nice cozy getaway!

This is a simple, cozy 1950's gem. I like simple. The hosts were responsive, helpful and welcoming.

A lovely getaway cottage that could use a few improvements. Positive: Very cute and retro, a step back into the past. Beautiful morning views. The property was clean and the managers were attentive. Check in was simple. Negative: Some things need upgrades. Please replace that awful hurricane bathroom fan and bring the kitchen into the 21st century. Extension cord to boil water is a no-no, and 40 year old fridge and microwave need replacing. Hot water is scalding and will burn guests. Lower it by 10 degrees and save money!

Thank you huckleberry lodge for 5 days stay, the place is good for small family but they have plenty Positive: The location is good Negative: They have a cleaner but I guest they should be thorough in cleaning specially underneath the masters bedroom because it has a lot of spider web and dust, vacuum will help to remove dust in the rug. Also there are few spider web in the ceiling of the washroom and masters bedroom. Dust free room or in all area is a must specially if your guest has an asthma.
